Radio IRFEYAL

Radio IRFEYAL live broadcasting from Quito, Ecuador. It plays various genres of music like Jazz, Latin, etc 24/7. It also provides entertainment, informative and educational programs, including with Spanish musical programs all the time. It is one of the most famous online radio station on Ecuador.

Radio IRFEYAL, began its regular programming on May 1, 1995. It is an educational station, it tends to the formation   Of the Ecuadorian family with a conscience of social participation.

Every day we open interactive spaces to different sectors of the citizenry, students of the José María Vélaz Educational Unit, social groups, professionals, housewives and the public in general.

In 1964, the Fe y Alegría movement was born in Ecuador, with the objective of providing face-to-face education to children and young people in the country. In 1974, the Fe y Alegría IRFEYAL Radio Institute was founded for the integral formation of adults, mothers and fathers with the distance-presence system, combining their work with education and at the same time a motivation for them to see their children, as they value Parents study.

IRFEYAL, is part of the International Movement of Integral Popular Education Fe y Alegría, a non-profit organization and sponsored by the Jesuit Fathers in Ecuador. Father José María Vélaz, SJ founder of Fe y Alegría, understood the need for education of the most vulnerable people in Latin America. He considered the radio as an ideal tool to reach the most distant places. This pedagogical system was then organized, different from the face-to-face schools.

The regular programming of IRFEYAL Radio is from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. From 5:00 p.m. Until the 22h00 broadcast the radio classes, with the program THE TEACHER AT HOME,  Directed to the students, in: literacy, primary, Basic cycle and 5 baccalaureate In charge of Teachers – Speakers. Saturdays and Sundays we have a special program   And varied, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
