Pleasant melodious music of bygone times, but also the Dutch song (from the Flemish song to Boudewijn De Groot). This is our ever-growing group of listeners really appreciated.
Some former presenters of Radio America established a new association in 2003 with the aim to compete for recognition and a broadcasting license as a result of the new frequency plan of the Flemish Community. In January, they got their frequency in Izegem at 105.6. But it took was a while until the station on the air. The commissioner for the media refused several locations. With the help of the city government Izegemse the station finally found a place in Café Quicky in Ingelmunster Street 15 in Izegem. This transmitter with its music format unique in its kind. It was from the start a very great success and this is clearly reflected in the many responses they still receive.
On Saturday, September 4th, 2004 at 15h FM Gold was finally in the air. Since November 25, 2005 operates Radio Gold FM with Radio America from Meulebeke. Four years after the start of the new local radio Radio FM Gold was through Radio Vision awards voted best radio in West Flanders (January 3, 2008).
