He was 42. Wajid Khan died in the Surana Hospital, Chembur, Mumbai, due to complications arising from a kidney infection.<\/p>\n<p>He was also tested positive for Covid-19 and had undergone a kidney transplant a few months ago. The death of the composer came as a shock to Bollywood and many celebrities took to Twitter to share their grief.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, entertainment journalist Faridoon Shahryar reported that Sonu confirmed to him that Wajid had coronavirus. \u201cSad News: Noted singer Sonu Nigam just confirmed to me that music composer Wajid Khan of Sajid-Wajid passed away a short while back. He was suffering from Covid 19,\u201d he tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>Starting their career in 1998 with Salman Khan-starrer Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya, Sajid-Wajid scored music for many films of the superstar including Dabangg franchise, Chori Chori, Hello Brother, Wanted and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. They had recently composed the actor\u2019s single, Bhai Bhai, as well.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-174 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freeradiotune.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/inst-300x279.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"392\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freeradiotune.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/inst-300x279.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.freeradiotune.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/inst.jpg 541w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 392px) 100vw, 392px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bollywood fraternity mourned the demise of the singer-composer. Actor Priyanka Chopra wrote on Twitter, \u201cTerrible news. The one thing I will always remember is Wajid bhai\u2019s laugh. Always smiling. Gone too soon. My condolences to his family and everyone grieving. Rest in peace my friend.
