– Inspiration Media Foundation International was founded by Drs John and Linda Hartman as an outreach arm of Inspiration Media, Inc., which operates Inspirational Country Radio – KVVO-LP and Inspiration Media Broadcasting (AM) in Abilene, Texas.

Inspiration Media has been broadcasting Christian Inspirational country music since 1962 when the Inspiration Station first went on air as a small AM station from their home at 401 W. 31st Street in downtown Abilene. Inspiration Media Broadcasting (AM) in Abilene was founded by Inspirational Country Radio – KVVO-LP’s parent company Inspiration Media, Inc.

In 1962, Drs John and Linda Hartman started Inspiration Station broadcasting Christian country music over the air as a small AM station from their home at 401 W 31st Street in downtown Abilene. In 2000 they sold that property to purchase nearby land. Inspiration Media Foundation International is now located just west of Highway 83 on FM 1187 near the community of Myrtle Springs with its five towers and antenna farm for improved coverage northward through Wichita Falls into North Texas.
