WERU, WERU FM. WERU is the voice of Atlanta’s urban community. WERU has been providing listeners with smooth R&B, Hip Hop, and House music since 1966. WERU is proud to be locally owned by the non-profit organization Radio United for Christ (RUC).

WERU’s mission is to provide an outlet for programming that will be of interest and concern to WERU listeners. WERU provides a voice, not only in the community but also for women who are incarcerated at Metro State Prison through WERU’s FM radio station, 91FM. W-E-R-UKIDS RADIO plays preschool songs 24 hours a day so parents can sleep peacefully knowing their children are entertained with fun learning during the day!
